Writing a first blog post is never easy, uh? But here I am: always challenging myself. When I decided to become an au pair in the USA, I did a lot of research on the Internet to know more about it. I found a lot of vlogs on Youtube and some other blogs about being an au pair. I loved it and applied to be an au pair.

As I am curious about everything and love to try new things for the kids, I looked for new activities online to make them happy. What I found was often targeted to moms and not to au pairs. I did find some great things, though! But I figured out that something was missing: a blog dedicated to au pairs, written by an au pair. So, here I am!

Who I am

au pair DC

My name is Audrey, I’m 25 and I’m from the East of France. After graduating in the Marketing & Communication field, I wanted to experience this unique adventure of a lifetime and applied to be an au pair in the USA. I took the decision to leave in October 2017 and found my family pretty quickly! I’ve been an au pair in a city very close to Washington DC since March 2018.

I’m taking care of two boys and a girl, who are between 3 and 11. I love being a part of their development and making them discover new things. From day 1, they’ve been calling me “Miss Audrey”, that’s why I chose this username. Isn’t it cute?

I love photography, traveling and out of the ordinary experiences. Food is also one of my best friends…

What you’ll find here

Working with kids is one of the best and hardest jobs. It’s a luck to be able to see them grow up, to see stars in their eyes, to believe in their dreams and to be part of their magic little worlds. Spending time with them is precious!

And sometimes you’ll want to make them happier by cooking food they never tried, by teaching them new arts & crafts etc. I wanted to share with you some ideas for the kids, but also some tips to travel when you are an au pair and some pictures! You can contact me for any request 🙂
